Welcome to Fintrack, a personal finance tracking application operated by Yencode Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Fintrack mobile and web application (the "App") and our services at fintrack.yencodetechnologies.in.
By creating an account or using Fintrack, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please also review our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:
Account information
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (stored in hashed form — we never store plain-text passwords)
Financial tracking data
- Credit card details: bank name, card nickname, last 4 digits, statement date, and payment due date
- Payment reminders you create
- Lend records: person name, reason, amount, and date
- Liability records: person name, reason, amount, and date
Device and notification data
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens to deliver push notifications for payment reminders
Password recovery data
- One-time password (OTP) codes sent to your email for password reset (stored temporarily and expired after use)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your Fintrack account
- Authenticate you when you sign in
- Store and display your credit cards, reminders, lends, and liabilities
- Send push notification reminders for upcoming payment due dates
- Send OTP emails when you request a password reset
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the App's functionality and security
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted at fintrack.yencodetechnologies.in using MongoDB. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms before storage.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
Fintrack uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — to deliver push notifications to your device. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing: policies.google.com/privacy
- Email service (Nodemailer) — to send OTP codes for password recovery to your registered email address
- MongoDB — database hosting for application data on our servers
These services process data only as necessary to provide their functionality to Fintrack.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the App by selecting Delete Account.
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your account information and associated financial tracking data from our servers. OTP codes and expired session data are deleted automatically after they are no longer needed.
7. Children's Privacy
Fintrack is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Fintrack after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
